Do you know there are FREE programs available to
help you pay your utility bills and to heat your
home? Well, there is!
Each year, during the winter months, help is available
to income eligible households to pay for heating in the
form of oil, propane. wood, kerosene, gas, or electric
heat. Help may also be available if heat is included in
the rent payment.
HOUSEHOLDS CAN APPLY USING THE
FOLLOWING OPTIONS:
• In person or over the phone appointment. Dial 860-560-5800 (where you can reach the automated attendant and select the option to create an appointment)
• Online at www.ct.gov/heatinghelp/applyonline or from the DSS website
• By mail. Request an application to be mailed to your address or download the PDF from DSS website and mail the completed application to CRT 395 Wethersfield Ave, CT 06105
• By email. Download the PDF application from DSS website and email completed application to crtenergyapplication@crct.org
